Alien

Either individual members of an sentient (normally technological) extraterrestrial species or the names of a sentient (normally technological) extraterrestrial species.

Despite the slim chances for closely parallel evolution, aliens are typically portrayed as humanoid, and often as disinctly human in appearance.
