The Black Hills are a range of steep hills south of Kandor and west of Tar Valon. The Ogier Stedding Jentoine is located there.
In the heart of the hills is a valley where a remnant of the Age of Legends, a slender golden spire, lies partly buried in a hillside, still protruding some seventy paces above the trees. The area is accounted cursed by the common folk of the area.
