Bludgers' are balls used in the game of Quidditch. They are jet black and slightly smaller than a Quaffle. There are two Bludgers in play during a game, enspelled to fly around and try to knock players of both teams off their brooms. The Beaters are charged with the task of keeping Bludgers away from their team's players and knock them towards the other team's.
