'Dorsai is the name of a planet in Gordon R. Dickson's Childe Cycle of novels. Rresource poor, the planet is inhabited by a military society named the Dorsai, whose members hire themselves out as mercenaries to the governments of the other thirteen worlds inhabited by humans.
