Trajectory
In HPPS 6, Hermione is on the Hogwarts Express. She helps Neville Longbottom try to find his toad, and meets Harry and Ron. She is Sorted into Gryffindor with Harry and Ron.
In HPPS 9, Hermoine is nervous about the flying lessons, and reads Quidditch Through The Ages in an attempt to prepare for it. She has some trouble making her broom leap into her hand properly. She keeps trying to stop Harry getting into trouble and losing points for Gryffindor, first when he tries to get Neville's Remembrall back from Draco Malfoy, and then when he accepts Draco's challenge to a midnight duel. She stays up to try to change Harry and Ron's minds, and ends up getting locked out of Gryffindor Tower because of the Fat Lady's absence. She follows them to the trophy room, and is forced to flee with them when Filch appears. She unlocks a door to help them hide, but it turns out to be the door to the forbidden third-floor corridor, where a gigantic three-headed dog is guarding a trapdoor in the floor. She is the only one to notice the trapdoor, which she informs them about when they return to Gryffindor Tower.
In HPPS 10, after quarreling with Ron on whether Harry deserved to join the Quidditch team and get a Nimbus Two Thousand as a reward for breaking the rules, Hermione is partnered with Ron in Charms class, and quickly masters the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Ron finally sends her crying to the girls' toilets on Hallowe'en. When a troll is let loose in the school and ends up in the bathroom where she is hiding, Ron and Harry come to rescue her. After the troll incident, Ron, Harry and Hermione become friends.
