Trajectory[]

At the beginning of The Eye of The World, Lan has arrived in Emond's Field with Moiraine. He is revealed as a Warder when the Trollocs attack Emond's Field and he helps the villagers defend themselves. While Moiraine is healing Tam al'Thor, Lan tells Rand about his Heron-mark Blade. He fetches Rand and Mat while Moiraine is facing off against the villagers, and urges them to hurry to their departure. He takes the boys to the stables, where he has set Perrin to searching the stable and saddling the horses. He unwillingly submits to Moiraine's wish to let Egwene and Thom Merrilin argue their way into the party, and leads them north out of Emond's Field.

At the beginning of The Fires of Heaven, Lan is in Rhuidean with Moiraine. They leave along with Rand and many of the Aiel in FOH 7.

In POD 1, Lan is in Ebou Dar with Nynaeve, Elayne, Birgitte, Aviendha, and others. He leaves with them through a gateway.
