Moreta was the Weyrwoman of Fort Weyr during the Plague. She had been Weyrwoman for just two Turns following the retirment of Leri when the Plague broke out. She was presumably born sometime in the first decade of the Pass, as Impression normally occurs during the teenage years.
She had developed a friendship with the younger Lord Holder of Ruatha, Alessan, born of their mutual passion for Runningbeasts.
When the Plague broke out, Moreta lead the effort to distribute the vaccine. Because her Orlith had recently laid eggs, she rode Leri's Holth. Tired from her long journey, the two went between after the last hold, and never returned. Orlith went between after her eggs had hatched.
