  • New Jerusalem is the capital of the New Crusade, the theocracy that rules the continental former United States in Robert A. Heinlein's novel Revolt in 2100.
  • New Jerusalem is the name of the religious colony on Mars in Poul Anderson's short story "The Un-Man" in Astounding January 1953
  • New Jerusalem name of an Earth orbital Baptist colony in in G. David Nordley's novel To Climb a Flat Mountain.
  • New Jerusalem is a planet named in the Eyes episode of the Babylon 5 television series. Viewers learn that Colonel Ari ben Zayn was involved in fighting here, according to Eyes. It is possible that this began as a Jewish colony or an Israeli colony; ben Zayn was also involved in military campaigns in Israel.
