Pluto

Pluto is the celestial body was downgraded to the status of a dwarf planet. But now has been recently upgrade back to the status of a Major Planet along with Eris, Makemake, Haumea and Ceres. Together with its natural satellite Charon and its 4 asteroid-like moons Nix, Hydra, Sticks , and the other one, it is conventioanlly and arbitrarily considered the outer most celestial object in the Sol System and just omits Eris, and Sedna due to all the even more stranger gravity perturbations seen in thier orbits.

Research in 2012 indicated that Pluto's atmosphere might extend 6,456 miles or 10,390 kilometers into space, or about 4.5 times the diameter of Pluto.

Pluto in Science fiction

• In John Barnes's Jak Jinnaka trilogy, Pluto and Charon are home to the remnant of the Rubahy, an extraterrestrial and extrasolar species who have come off the worse in their wars with humanity.

• Note the location of prisons on Pluto in "The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz" which makes fun of the former prison ,now museum of Alcatraz in a certain episode of Futurama, although nothing else is known about it. 

• Pluto was a locations of prisons in the Something Ricked This Way Comes episode of Rick and Morty. In the latter environmental-political dissidents are subjected to detention in "Plutonamo Bay." which makes fun or "pokes fun" at Guantanimo Bay.
