Pluto is the celestial body was downgraded to the status of a dwarf planet. But now has been recently upgrade back to the status of a Major Planet along with Eris, Makemake, Haumea and Ceres. Together with its natural satellite Charon and its 4 asteroid-like moons Nix, Hydra, Sticks , and the other one, it is conventioanlly and arbitrarily considered the outer most celestial object in the Sol System and just omits Eris, and Sedna due to all the even more stranger gravity perturbations seen in thier orbits.

Research in 2012 indicated that Pluto's atmosphere might extend 6,456 miles or 10,390 kilometers into space, or about 4.5 times the diameter of Pluto.
