Ubastis (61 Verginis 4) is the fictional terrestrial planet where most of the action in Marguerite Reed's novel Archangel takes place. The planet is optimal for human settlement because it has an oxygen atmosphere, slightly less than Earth gravity (p. 32), and edible flora and fauna. The largest human community is New Albuquerque on the edge of the steppe land called the Big Tawny. Others include new Cairo, Enhedunma, Azrachel, Shuc Kamnei, Novkiev and Qetta.
