The White River forms the southern boundary of the Two Rivers, flowing eastward out of the Mountains of Mist and joining with the Taren River in the Mire.

It gets its name from the white water churned up by the many rocks in its bed; few people cross it.

In the time of Manetheren, it was called Manetherendrelle, "Waters of the Mountain Home" in the Old Tongue.
